Spalding Road is currently closed in both directions following a major traffic collision.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are at the scene of two-vehicle collision on Spalding Road in Boston. The road will be closed from the Queen Street Roundabout and further south. Please avoid the area if you can. Inc84 of 31/10/25.”

Significant delays are currently being faced by commuters around the area, with delays also expected on public transport.

A spokesperson for Brylaine Travel said: “Due to the closure of the A16, can we please ask all town centre passengers to board their services at the Bus Station, so we can action a diversion along Sleaford Road and West End Road. The B3/x and B8 will be unable to serve London Road at St Thomas Church. The B8 will be unable to serve High Street. Thank you.”

At time of publication, it is unclear how many injuries have been sustained, however there is a large amount of HGV’s that remain parked at the side of the carriageway in both directions.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, Lincolnshire Police, East Midlands Ambulance Service and first responders from LIVES are currently at the scene.
