The Coaching Inn Group, which has its head office in Boston and owns and operates the town’s historic White Hart Hotel, has announced plans to invest between £8 million and £10 million next year as part of an ambitious programme of hotel improvements and future acquisitions.
The investment will see the hospitality operator upgrade a number of properties across its existing portfolio, while continuing to explore opportunities to expand its presence across the UK.
Among the projects planned are refurbishments at The Royal Oak in Welshpool and two properties transferred to the group from RedCat Hospitality in February 2026.
The company is also planning to expand accommodation at The Feathers in Ledbury, with the addition of 15 new bedrooms.
The Coaching Inn Group, which maintains its headquarters in Boston, is a significant name in the UK hospitality sector, operating a portfolio of historic coaching inns and hotels.
Its local portfolio includes the White Hart Hotel, a prominent landmark in Boston town centre, overlooking the River Haven.
Alongside its investment programme, the company has announced a number of senior management changes to support its future growth.
David Phillips has been appointed property director, with responsibility for overseeing acquisitions, while Malcolm Storey has been promoted to head of food.
The group is also preparing to launch a new customer loyalty app, Journey by Coaching Inn Group, aimed at improving the guest experience and encouraging repeat visits across its hotels.
Adam Charity, managing director of The Coaching Inn Group, said: “The plans we are setting out now demonstrate our renewed sense of energy, creativity and ambition.
“Our investments will be rooted in creating better experiences for our guests, offering a more consistent Coaching Inn Group proficiency while making sure each property retains its own character, heritage and appeal.
“By balancing investment in our existing hotels with our future acquisition plans, we can continue to meet evolving customer expectations while building a stronger, more resilient business for the future.”
The announcement represents a significant commitment to the group’s continued development, with millions of pounds earmarked for improving its existing hotels and supporting further expansion.
With its head office based in Boston, The Coaching Inn Group’s latest investment plans also highlight the presence of a nationally operating hospitality business headquartered in the Lincolnshire town.
The company has not announced whether the latest investment programme will include further improvements to Boston’s White Hart Hotel.
