Emergency services have closed the A1121 at the Hubberts Bridge crossroads following a road traffic collision this afternoon.
At this stage, it is unclear exactly what has happened, how many vehicles are involved, or whether there have been any injuries.
Motorists travelling through the area are being advised to avoid the route where possible and seek alternative journeys while emergency services deal with the incident.
Boston VIBE understands that crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and officers from Lincolnshire Police are currently in attendance.
The closure is expected to cause delays on surrounding roads, particularly around Hubberts Bridge, East Heckington and nearby rural routes.
No further information has been released at this time regarding the circumstances of the collision or how long the road is expected to remain closed.
Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys and follow any diversions that may be put in place.
Boston VIBE has contacted the emergency services for further information and will provide updates as they become available.
