A new Boston-based beauty salon is celebrating a major milestone after being named a finalist in a prestigious national awards programme.
Empowered by Beauty, located within Haus on Dolphin Lane, has been shortlisted in the Best Beauty Business category at the 2026 UK Small Business Awards, just months after opening its doors.
The business is owned by friends Jenny Griffiths and Shanice Silvey, who launched the salon with a shared vision of creating an inclusive, accessible and affordable beauty service for the local community.
Speaking about the achievement, the pair said they were “incredibly proud” to receive national recognition so early in their journey, adding that the support from local customers has played a huge role in their success so far.
Based at HAUS, 12 Dolphin Lane in Boston town centre, Empowered by Beauty offers a wide range of treatments including laser teeth whitening, facials, body sculpting, skin tightening, slimming treatments and LED light therapy. The salon is also set to expand its offering later this month with the introduction of additional treatments such as hydrofacials.
What sets the business apart is its flexible approach to client care. Alongside in-salon appointments, the team also provides a mobile service, allowing customers, including those with mobility or access needs, to receive treatments from the comfort of their own home.
The owners say inclusivity and accessibility have been at the heart of the business from day one, with a focus on making beauty treatments available to as many people as possible, regardless of circumstance.
As a newly established business, the recognition from the UK Small Business Awards marks a significant step forward and helps put the Boston salon firmly on the map.
