Redcat Hospitality have confirmed that they will bring all of its pubs-with-rooms properties under its Coaching Inn Group division, creating a 43-strong portfolio of inns across the UK. Exciting new additions include The Lion Inn Boreham, Conningbrook Hotel Ashford, Breckland Lodge Attleborough, Green Man Inn Fownhope, George and Pilgrims Glastonberry and The Bull Inn Barton Mills.
CEO of Redcat Hospitality Richard Lewis commented: “This is the natural next step for us as a business, particularly as our premium inns have become an increasingly important part of what we do. Operating under the Coaching Inn Group brand, we are extremely well positioned to build on the strong growth and momentum we have seen to date.
He continued: “This decision in no way reflects the quality of our managed pubs or the brilliant teams that operate them. I would like to thank each and every person involved for making our pubs such warm and inviting places for our guests.”
Adam Charity Managing Director of The Coaching Inn Group said “ We are delighted to welcome these individually unique hotels to the CIG family along with their fantastic teams. This compounds our position as WHICH recommended Best Large Hotel Group”
The pubs and premium rooms business–founded and chaired by former Greene King CEO Rooney Anand–celebrated a transformational year in 2025, reporting strong growth across sales and EBITDA.
For the year to date 30 March 2025, adjusted EBITDA was up 290% to £8.8m, up from £2.2m on the previous year, indicating the strong performance of The Coaching Inn Group which joined the business in 2021.
In addition, site EBITDA was up 42% to £18.7m and like-for-like sales were up 2%.
Last year, RedCat completed an £8 million capital investment programme across its inns and pubs. Additional investment is planned for the coming year, as the group continues to invest in its existing estate.
In November, RedCat announced it had reached an agreement with Admiral Taverns on the sale of its 21-strong leased and tenanted division.
Lewis said the business is already engaging with a number of potential buyers for its managed pubs arm.
Lewis concluded his statement by saying: “Our ambition is to welcome many more sites into the group.”
