The Coaching Inn Group, the award-winning pubs-with-rooms business that forms part of RedCat Hospitality, has unveiled a new Managing Director. The business’s long-serving Adam Charity, formerly Chief Operating Officer, will take the helm with immediate effect.

Originally joining the business in 2008, working behind the bar at the White Hart in Boston, Adam has progressed through the ranks of the business, being appointed as Chief Operating Officer in March 2024 and now as Managing Director.

More recently, his leadership has helped guide the Boston based hotel chain through a hugely positive period of growth, expanding the portfolio to 36 sites and delivering record breaking performance across food and rooms.

As Adam steps into the role of Managing Director, he will continue to work closely with the group’s teams to grow the business, protect what makes the business unique, and create memorable experiences for every guest who walks through its doors.

Adam said: “I am incredibly proud and excited to start in my new role, working with our wonderful teams to help the business grow and expand, while maintaining our unique culture and philosophy of ‘hospitality from the heart’, which is what makes us so special.

“Our strategy of blending heritage and charm with modern luxury to create unique and memorable stays, is a winning one and I am very much looking forward to finding new locations where we can unlock potential and consolidate our position as a leader in the domestic leisure market.”

Founded in 1996 by Kevin Charity, now led by his son Adam Charity, the Coaching Inn Group remains a proud enterprise with a clear mission, to breathe new life into Britain’s historic inns and hotels. From humble beginnings in Boston, Lincolnshire, the Group now operates 36 distinctive properties across the UK. Each has been meticulously restored, honouring original features like oak beams and sash windows, while seamlessly blending 21st-century comfort.

In 2021, it was announced that RedCat Pub Company would acquire the Coaching Inn Group.

Richard Lewis, CEO of RedCat Hospitality, said: “I am delighted to announce Adam’s appointment as Managing Director of The Coaching Inn Group. The promotion recognises his vital role in the recent success and growth of the company, leading the business to two record breaking years for sales and confirming its status as one of the leading pubs-with-rooms operators in the UK.

“I have no doubt that he is the best person to take the business to the next level, as we look to grow and build on everything we have achieved so far.”
