The local community is being asked for its views on services formerly delivered from St Christopher’s children centre in Boston.
Last December, the centre’s activities and services were temporarily relocated to the nearby Carlton Road and Norfolk Lodge children’s centres due to issues with the building’s roof. The St Christopher’s building continues to require significant maintenance, and the landlord has not agreed to the necessary works, at this time.
The council is now considering options for the future and is asking people for their feedback.
Cllr Mrs Patricia Bradwell OBE, executive member for children’s services, said: “We know the local community values the wide range of services and activities provided at St Christopher’s. During this past year, families have continued to access these services through nearby children centres and other community venues. We now want people to share their views, before we take a decision on the best way to deliver these services in future.”
The consultation is due to run to 6 December.
There will be two drop-in sessions at Norfolk Lodge Children Centre, 27 Norfolk Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 6PW on the following dates:
- Tuesday, 12 November, from 12pm to 2pm
- Thursday 21 November, from 12pm to 2pm
