Four people have been arrested after reports of bloodstained clothing being found near a property in Boston.
Lincolnshire Police say officers were called to Revesby Avenue at 9.17pm on Wednesday 29 July following a concern for safety.
A 40-year-old man, a 59-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman have all been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).
The arrests follow reports that bloodstained clothing was discovered in the vicinity of the property.
A heightened police presence remains in the area while officers carry out enquiries to establish the precise circumstances surrounding how the clothing came to be found there.
Police say the investigation is in its very early stages and are urging members of the public not to speculate on social media, instead relying on verified updates as enquiries continue.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police by calling 101, quoting Incident 607 of 29 July. Information can also be submitted via the force’s online reporting system or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
