Motorists are being advised to plan ahead as Sleaford Road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 28th July, while essential highway improvements are carried out.
The closure will be in place from 7:00pm until 6:00am, with Lincolnshire County Council coordinating carriageway maintenance and street lighting works at the same time in a bid to reduce disruption for motorists.
By combining both schemes into a single overnight closure, the council says it is helping to avoid the need for separate road closures later, minimising inconvenience for residents and road users. The council has a duty to coordinate works on the highway network to help reduce disruption wherever possible. (Lincolnshire County Council)
Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys, follow signed diversion routes where applicable, and avoid the area during the closure if possible.
The works are scheduled to begin at 7:00pm on Tuesday 28th July and are expected to be completed by 6:00am on Wednesday 29th July, subject to weather conditions and operational requirements.
