Motorists are being urged to avoid the A16 exit towards Spalding at Sutterton Roundabout after a trailer carrying hay bales overturned this morning.
The incident has left the exit road blocked and it is currently not passable.
Lincolnshire Police are on scene managing the incident, with recovery expected to take some time while the overturned trailer and hay bales are cleared from the carriageway.
Drivers travelling between Boston and Spalding are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and seek alternative routes where possible until the obstruction has been removed.
There are no immediate details regarding any injuries or how long the closure is expected to remain in place.
