Active Lincolnshire, in partnership with Lincolnshire Community Foundation, is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards.

The awards give communities across the county an opportunity to celebrate the incredible people and organisations making a real difference through sport and physical activity.

They recognise the dedication and impact of those helping people in Lincolnshire to be more active, more often and shine a light on inspiring stories that demonstrate how movement can transform lives, improve health, wellbeing and community connection.

Sue Fortune, CEO, Lincolnshire Community Foundation said: “We’re proud to support these awards and celebrate the people and organisations making a real difference through sport and physical activity across Lincolnshire. We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to submit a nomination and help recognise these inspiring efforts.”

It is free and easy to nominate, taking just a few minutes. Individuals can put forward themselves or others, including organisations. By sharing your story, you can help highlight the powerful impact of physical activity and inspire others to get involved.

This year features nine award categories, including new additions, offering even more opportunities to celebrate a wide range of achievements. Three finalists from each category will be invited to attend the awards ceremony in Lincoln as special guests.

Emma Tatlow, CEO, Active Lincolnshire said: “I’m thrilled to see the return of these awards for 2026. It’s a fantastic opportunity to recognise those who inspire others to be active and improve lives.”

Whether it is a volunteer who consistently goes above and beyond, a club creating inclusive opportunities, a coach inspiring the next generation, or an individual who has transformed their own life, these awards are the perfect opportunity to recognise and thank local champions.

Nominations are open until 31 July 2026.
