Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious three-vehicle collision near Boston which has left two people in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occured on the A17 near the Mill Lane junction at Sutterton on the afternoon of Wednesday 23 April, and was reported to the force control room at 4.19pm.

The collision involved a white Ford Transit, a grey Citroën C1, and a white Vauxhall Vivaro.

Emergency services attended the scene, where the male driver and passenger of the Citroën were both taken to hospital. Their injuries have been described as life-threatening.

The driver of the Ford Transit, a 34-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Road closures were put in place on the A17 and Mill Lane to allow emergency services to deal with the incident, with the roads reopening just before 4am on Thursday 24 April.

Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
