Big hearted bus Drivers, Engineers, Cleaners and Support teams from bus operator, Stagecoach East Midlands, are being encouraged to have fun ahead of Easter, by taking part in a raffle for a major children’s charity.

The Egg-stra Special Easter Fundraiser is being run to raise-much needed funds for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which Stagecoach supports as one of its national charities.

The charity works with over 70 NHS Trusts, across the UK, with more than 200 Roald Dahl Nurses providing support for over 40,000 children. Roald Dahl Nurses are a lifeline to the whole family, coordinating care and providing access to emotional support. They help families feel less overwhelmed and isolated and more in control.

Matt Cranwell, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “We are proud to be supporting Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity – their work is so important, and we were all very impressed to meet one of the amazing nurses last year. My team are well known for their generosity in getting behind charity causes, so maybe, this year, some of us will want to donate the cost of an Easter egg to help fund some truly life-changing support.”

Stagecoach East Midlands has an outstanding record of raising much-needed funds for local charities. When Roald Dahl Nurse, Jo Morris, visited the operation, last December, with colleagues, to talk about the work they do, the team got stuck in to bake and buy some ‘marvellous’ themed cakes. The company’s efforts and generous donations have raised over £550.
