A well-known fashion retailer in Boston town centre is set to close its doors next week, marking the end of an era for many local shoppers.
Select Fashion has confirmed that its Boston store in Pescod Square will close on Tuesday 13 January 2026, with the announcement shared via social media earlier this week.
In a heartfelt message, the retailer reflected on the strong connections built within the town, describing the store as more than just a place to shop. The post highlighted how friendships were formed, familiar faces became family, and staff took pride in serving the Boston community on a daily basis.
A spokesperson for Select Fashion said: “We want to thank each and every customer who walked through our doors, supported our team, and shared kind words along the way. Your support meant more than you know, and we’ll always be grateful.”
The closure has also been acknowledged by the management team at Pescod Square Shopping Centre, which remains one of the town’s key retail destinations.
Lisa Fitzgerald, Centre Manager at Pescod Square Shopping Centre, said: “It’s always difficult to see a long-standing retailer leave, particularly one that has built such strong relationships with local shoppers over the years. Select Fashion has been a valued part of Pescod Square, and we wish the team every success for the future. We remain committed to supporting our retailers and continuing to attract new businesses to the centre.”
The Select Fashion store will continue trading until its final day on 13 January, with customers encouraged to visit before the closure.
