A much-loved Boston nightclub is preparing to say goodbye to revellers with a special New Year’s Eve closing party, marking the end of a decade at the heart of the town’s nightlife.

Browns nightclub, located in the former Indian Queen public house on Dolphin Lane, first opened in November 2015 and quickly became a staple of Boston’s night-time economy. Over the past 10 years, it has welcomed thousands of partygoers through its doors, hosting countless unforgettable nights and becoming a go-to destination for late-night entertainment.

Now, a decade on, the management has confirmed the venue will close following a final celebration on New Year’s Eve, titled “Bye Bye Browns – NYE Closing Party.”

The venue was acquired earlier this year by new owners, who have taken the difficult decision to cease trading as changing economic pressures and shifting town centre habits continue to impact the night-time industry.

Throughout its lifetime, the nightclub hosted a wide range of popular events, including Halloween spectaculars, Ibiza Weekenders, Good Vibes nights, Double Money events, Pyjama Onesies and UV parties. It also welcomed special guest performers such as Ironik and Ayo Beats, and built a strong partnership with The Gliderdrome, hosting its official after-parties and drawing crowds from across the region.

In a statement, management said: “It’s been an incredible 10 years, and we’re so proud of everything this venue has stood for. From the staff and DJs to the thousands of people who have walked through our doors, every single one of you helped create something special. While the decision hasn’t been easy, changing economic conditions and shifts in town centre nightlife mean the time feels right to bow out on a high. We couldn’t think of a better way to do that than with one final New Year’s Eve celebration – Bye Bye Browns.”

The final event promises to be an emotional and memorable send-off, giving loyal customers the chance to celebrate one last time as the countdown begins to 2026.
