Following confirmation of the £20m Plan for Neighbourhood Funding in March of this year, Boston Town Board took on a ‘transition role’ with Jo Brigham providing continuity as Chair, progressing the Plan for Neighbourhood planning and intending to step down and hand over to a Community Leader at an appropriate time.

Jo has now stepped down as Chair and Claire Foster, the Town Board Vice Chair, will step into the role until a suitable replacement is found.

Jo Brigham said: “It has been an honour to serve as the Town Board Chair and a genuine privilege to work with such a dedicated group of members – all giving their time freely – for the people of Boston.  I wish the Board all the very best for the future and will continue to engage as a member of the community to help them deliver the future Boston deserves.”

Claire Foster, Vice-Chair of Boston Town Board said: “I’m very grateful to Jo for all that she has done for the Town Board over the last eighteen months.

“Jo leaves the Board in a great position following a period of concerted consultation and engagement and extensive work on our plan for the multi-million pound government funding coming into the town.

“We have an exciting opportunity to deliver even more improvements for Boston and I look forward to continuing to work with the Board, the council, and crucially the community to realise local people’s ambitions for the town.”
