Lincolnshire Police have arrested two people following a suspected firearms incident at a residential property along Hobhole Bank, Old Leake.

Officers were called to the address earlier today after reports of a disturbance involving a potential firearm. Armed response units and local officers attended the scene to ensure public safety.

A man was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident. His condition has not been disclosed.

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody while enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a call at 10.14am today (14 August) reporting that a man had suffered injuries believed to be caused by a firearm, at a property on Hobhole Bank, Old Leake.

“The man has been taken to hospital.

“Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.”

Police have reassured the community that there is no wider risk to the public and confirmed that the situation was contained to the property.
