As Parliament entered its summer recess, I was proud to have spoken seven times in the chamber this month, including raising a Point of Order to correct a Labour MP who quoted completely false statistics. I will never shy away from calling out misinformation. I’ve also submitted four Written Questions to the Ministry of Justice, Department for Work and Pensions, and Department of Health and Social Care on matters that matter to our communities.

Back in the constituency, I held another busy surgery where, yet again, concerns around street drinking, defecation, urination and antisocial behaviour were front and centre. These issues continue to blight our town centre and seriously affect our local businesses. Tackling them remains one of my top priorities.

It was brilliant to see The Castle Public House open its doors once again, I enjoyed catching up with Samantha and seeing such a cherished venue back in business. Boston Market has also been bustling and vibrant in recent weeks, which is fantastic to see.

Boston Borough Council has seen a turbulent time, with Councillor Anne Dorrian ousted and Councillor Dale Broughton appointed as the new Leader of the Authority. I look forward to meeting Cllr Broughton in the near future to discuss how we can work together to deliver positive outcomes for Boston’s residents and businesses.

A huge well done to Tonic Health on the opening of their new Youth Hub, housed inside the beautiful and historic Pescod Hall, this is a brilliant addition to our town.

It was a pleasure to return to Elmwood Care Home and visit residents and staff, including Pam, who made me promise I’d come back and update her on the work I’ve been doing!

Over in Skegness, I had the honour of meeting Alfred, Lincolnshire’s last surviving Burma Star veteran, on the eve of his 100th birthday. It was a truly humbling moment to speak with him and thank him for his service.

I also paid a visit to Vertu Honda Boston, discussing the absurdity of Net Zero mandates, particularly around electric vehicles, and the practical challenges they are placing on both businesses and families. It was a pleasure to get behind the wheel of a pea vine during peak harvest season too, a hands-on reminder of how vital our farming sector is.

I continue to fight against the damaging consequences of Net Stupid Zero, including the onslaught of pylons, solar farms, BESS and more. That’s why I’ve officially joined forces with Sean Matthews, Leader of Lincolnshire County Council, and Dame Andrea Jenkyns DBE, Mayor of the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority, to launch our campaign: Lincolnshire Opposes Renewable Eyesores (LORE).

And finally, on a national note, how fantastic to see the Lionesses bring home the 2025 Women’s Euros trophy for the second time! A proud and historic moment for Britain.

As ever, I remain committed to standing up for Boston, Skegness and Lincolnshire.
