The much-loved Lincolnshire Ladies Charity Tractor Road Run returns for its 14th year on Sunday, 20th July 2025, once again raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
The convoy of tractors, driven exclusively by women, will set off from Alchemy Farm, Willows Holt, Willows Lane, Boston at 10.30am, making their way through local villages before arriving at the Danny Flear Centre in Freiston at around 12pm. There, supporters can join in for a picnic lunch, charity auction, raffle, and homemade cakes, all in aid of a cause close to many hearts.
Organisers are encouraging members of the public to line the route to wave, cheer, and donate. Cyclists and a dedicated collection team will be accompanying the procession to gather contributions along the way.
Since its inception, the Lincolnshire Ladies Tractor Road Run has raised over £100,000 for Cancer Research UK through sponsorships, street collections, raffles, auctions, and most recently their first charity ball held in 2024.
The drivers, proudly ladies-only, take to the roads in tractors ranging from vintage classics to modern machines, all carefully decorated for the occasion. It’s not just the tractors that get dressed up either; the drivers themselves pull out all the stops with eye-catching outfits, making it a colourful spectacle that draws crowds year after year.
Speaking ahead of this year’s run, organisers said: “This is a fun and enjoyable way to raise money for a charity which is close to so many people’s hearts. We’re grateful for all the support we’ve had over the last 14 years and can’t wait to see everyone along the route again this year.”
The event promises a mix of community spirit, fundraising, and good old-fashioned fun, a true highlight in Boston’s summer calendar.
