Emergency services were called to a residential property in Haven Village today after a fire broke out in a ground floor flat within Sutton Terrace, sending thick smoke pouring through the building’s communal hallway.

Two fire crews from Boston Fire Station and one from Kirton are currently on scene, where they are currently working to bring the blaze under control. The fire has caused significant damage to the ground floor property, with a large window visibly smashed.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke gushing from the communal hallway as firefighters tackled the flames.

Helen Tooley, Group Manager East Division, said: “Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews from Boston and Kirton are in attendance at a domestic fire on Sutton Terrace, where firefighters have used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel in efforts to extinguish. Nobody has been injured, and our response has now been scaled down to two fire appliances, but this does remain a live incident. Once fully extinguished, fire investigators will gather information at the scene to identify a cause.”
