New security gates have been installed at the entrance to the Lidl car park in Wyberton in response to a rise in vehicle-related anti-social behaviour during evening hours.

The measure comes after concerns from local residents and members of the public about nuisance drivers gathering at the site once the store has closed. PCSO Johnson, working alongside local businesses, confirmed the gates are a step forward in addressing the ongoing issue.

The gates will be secured outside of store opening times, preventing access to the site overnight. Police have also confirmed that regular patrols will continue in other nearby retail car parks. Officers warn that any drivers found causing a nuisance or engaging in anti-social driving will be dealt with accordingly.

Residents are encouraged to report any further incidents through the appropriate channels.
