Eight men have been summoned to Boston Magistrates’ Court for offences relating to a reported hare coursing event in the county on 2 December. They will appear on Wednesday 11 June.
The summons relate to reports received on 2 December 2024 of several vehicles being involved in hare coursing and driving dangerously across the mid south and east of the county, as initially reported here.
- Dick Price, aged 48, of Tolney Lane, Newark on Trent, has been summoned for attending a hare coursing event on 2 December 24, being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares with dogs and driving a black Land Rover without reasonable consideration for other road users, driving the vehicle without insurance and failing to stop for police officers.
- Nelson Cooper, aged 38, of Tillingbourne Green, Orpington, Bromley, summoned for attending a hare coursing event at Keal Cotes, being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares and theft of food from Ulceby Cross Service Station on 2 December.
- Jack O’Driscoll, aged 26, of Barnet Road, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, summoned for attending a hare coursing event at Keal Cotes and being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares, also theft of food at Ulceby Cross Service Station on 2 December 2024
- Riley Price, aged 19, of Tolney Lane, Newark on Trent, summoned for attending a hare coursing event at Keal Cotes and being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares with dogs on 2 December 2024.
- James Herne, aged 24, of Chesterton Fen Road, Milton, Cambridge, has been summoned in respect of attending a hare coursing event at Keal Cotes on 2 December.
- Joseph Herne, aged 23, Chesterton Fen Road, Milton, Cambridge summoned for attending a hare coursing event at Keal Cotes on 2 December.
- Edward Stephenson, aged 26, of Chesterton Fen Road, Milton, Cambridge, summoned for attending a hare coursing event on 2 December 2024.
- Michael Stevenson, aged 25, of Chesterton Fen Road, Milton, Cambridge, has also been summoned in respect of attending a hare coursing event.
