8 fire crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are currently attending a major fire at a residential property on Langrick Road, New York.
The B1192 is currently closed between Armtree Road (B1184) and Sandy Bank Road. A diversion is in place via B1184 to Gipsey Bridge, Leagate Road to Bunkers Hill, and Sandy Bank Road to New York.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: “8 appliances are currently on scene at a fire on Langrick Road in New York. We advise that residents in the area keep doors and windows closed at this time.”
Crews from Boston, Woodhall Spa, Horncastle, Billinghay, Kirton, Donington and Spilsby are in attendance.
Neighbours have indicated that the property alight is the former animal sanctuary which recently closed after the owner was charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty.
