A fire which damaged a roof of a residential property in Fishtoft has been identified following an investigation by specialist fire teams.
Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue appliances from Boston, Kirton, Leverton and Donington joined an Aerial Ladder Platform shortly before 8.30pm Saturday night and used 4 breathing apparatus, a 9m ladder, Cobra, 2 house reel jets, 1 main jet and 6 thermal imaging cameras to extinguish the fire.
Following a thorough investigation by specialist fire teams, the cause of the blaze has been recorded as electrical fault with wiring in roof space.
A Lincolnshire Police scene guard was observed to be outside the property on White House Lane throughout all of yesterday (Sunday). A spokesperson from the force said: “We were called to a fire at a detached two storey building on White House Lane, Fishtoft. A cannabis grow was discovered and investigations are ongoing.
The second flood has been deemed unsafe, and so a scene guard remains in place whilst these investigations continue.”
