Sleaford Road is currently closed between the junctions of Lister Way and Brothertoft Road due to a serious RTC.

At least three appliances from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are in attendance, multiple police units, ambulances from East Midlands Ambulance Service, and the county’s air ambulance has recently landed in Woodville Road playing field. Traffic is being diverted down Lister Way, Fydell Street, Argyle Street, and Brothertoft Road and vice versa, which is causing tailbacks around the town.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 10.56am on 28 November to Carlton Road in Boston. The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision. We have sent a paramedic in a solo response car and a crewed ambulance. The air ambulance is also in attendance. We are currently still on scene.”

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said: “We were called out at 11:07 to an RTC on Carlton Road in Boston involving a lorry and a mobility scooter. Two crews from Boston, a crew from Grantham and a crew from Kirton attended this incident, along with two of our technical rescue vehicles. Our firefighters made the vehicle safe via the vehicle control panel and used chocks to stabilise the lorry. They then used hydraulic lifting bottle jacks to lift the cab of the lorry and release a casualty from underneath who was left in the care of the ambulance service.”
