Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue service have denied reports that a Boston supermarket was seen ablaze and attended by the service, accompanied by colleagues from Lincolnshire Police.
A post on Boston The People group on Facebook said: “Asda in Boston is on fire… is has been evacuated, firefighters and police on scene”.
We reached out to the service about the reported incident on social media, and a spokesperson said: “This is not true.
“Crews from Boston and Kirton have been in attendance at a commercial premises on Sleaford Road in Boston after reports of a freezer smoking, but crews have confirmed there’s no fire.”
