A massive thank you to the team at Boston Vibe for giving me the opportunity to publish a monthly article on their website. Through these updates, I aim to keep you informed on key events over the past month, highlight important votes and how I cast my ballot, address pressing local issues, and ensure you know how to reach me if you need any assistance.

It’s been a busy couple of months as my team and I worked hard to get everything up and running to serve you better. Despite the challenges, we’ve hit the ground running, and since my election, I’ve:

– Held several surgeries in both Boston and Skegness

– When Parliament hasn’t been in session, I’ve travelled across our constituency, meeting with businesses, charities, and local communities

– Spoken in Parliament 14 times

– Appeared on BBC, Sky, GB News, and Talk TV to represent your interests, ensuring Boston and Skegness has a national voice

Let me start by addressing your concerns – what I’ve heard while out on the doorstep and through your emails. The biggest worry I’ve come across is Labour’s removal of the Winter Fuel Allowance. We’ve received countless messages from people deeply concerned about the months ahead, and I’ve heard some truly heartbreaking stories. I had the chance to vote to protect the allowance, and I did, but unfortunately, Labour, with their majority, won the vote, meaning 22,000 pensioners in our constituency will miss out this winter. It’s a tragic outcome, and at Reform UK, we’re doing everything we can to keep our pensioners warm over the coming months. If you, or someone you know, is worried about this winter, please contact me at Richard.tice.mp@parliament.uk.

Some of you have pointed out that while MPs still receive a fuel allowance, Labour has taken away support for pensioners. To be clear, I will not be claiming or using this allowance – I believe it’s an unnecessary waste of your hard-earned money.

Law and order, especially in Boston’s town centre, is another significant issue. I’m working with the Town Board, Lincolnshire Police, and local businesses to explore solutions, so stay tuned for updates in the coming months.

Other concerns, such as pylons and flooding, are also very close to your hearts. Since my election, we’ve received hundreds of emails about these issues. Please continue to send in your thoughts and concerns—it all helps as we fight against these pylons, which not only spoil our countryside but also devalue our homes.

Reform UK is just getting started here in Boston, Skegness, and across Lincolnshire. With local elections on the horizon, we plan to be a strong and constant presence. We’re here to stay.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any issues, want to book a surgery, or would like to invite me to an event. No problem is too big or small, and my team and I will do our best to assist you. You can reach me at Richard.tice.mp@parliament.uk.
