UPDATE: 9.10am: West End Road has now reopened following recovery of the vehicle and damage assessments by National Grid. Properties who suffered with power outages have had power restored. Openreach are yet to work on reconnecting properties to the phone networks.
A busy Boston road has been closed for the morning following a crash that has also caused a power outage and phone lines.
A single vehicle has crashed into a residential property wall, substation and telegraph pole on West End Road, Boston.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called at 6.03am this morning (29 August) to a collision involving a single car. One man was injured and taken to hospital. It is not believed his injuries are serious. The car has been recovered and the road is now clear. Incident reference 57 of 29 August.”
