Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called out to reports of a residential fire on a Boston street on Monday night.

The service responded to a house on Hospital Lane, to which it sent two appliances.

A spokesperson for the service said: “Two appliances from Boston attended an incident on Hospital Lane, Boston on Monday 26th August 2024 following a call received at 8.51pm. We were in attendance for 1hr 30mins. Cause was believed to be controlled burning which then got out of control.”
