A central Boston located shopping centre is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary in the town this weekend.

Pescod Square Shopping Centre, located on Silver Street, Boston, features a variety of much-loved high-street chains to independent retailers.

Along with a varied selection of independent and chain retailers, Pescod Square also features a 200-space car park and is easily accessible from Boston’s town centre.

The centre itself is named after the Pescod family, one of the most notable families in Boston for being merchants of wool and herring, so renowned that Walter Pescod himself was buried in St Botolph’s Church.

The shopping centre opened its site for the first time in 2004 following extensive investment and construction, which also included carefully rotating the 15th century Pescod Hall 90 degrees.

A fun-filled day of celebrations has been organised on Saturday 31st August by the centre management, to include food vendors and community stalls and free fun for everyone. Boston’s 107 Endeavour FM, The Biz and The Joker will be providing entertainment throughout the day with lots of special prizes and a special guest appearance.

Lisa Fitzgerald, Centre Manager for Pescod Square said: “Pescod Square has been at the beating heart of Boston for the last 20 years, providing a premium shopping experience to residents of and visitors to Boston.

“We’re excited to enter our 20th year, and doing so in style with our fun-packed, family-focussed Birthday Party taking place right the way through the centre this Saturday. We have a mixture of offerings including food, entertainment, community stalls and much more.

I really hope to see as many people visit on Saturday and join myself and the Pescod Square team in celebrating this fantastic milestone.”

Pescod Square’s 20th Birthday Party will take place on Saturday 31st August 2024 between 10am and 4pm within the site.
