Four roads in the Boston area are set to benefit from resurfacing and reconstruction works as part of a major £8 million investment by Lincolnshire County Council.
The programme will see work carried out on 42 carriageways across Lincolnshire between October 2026 and March 2027, with schemes confirmed for both Old Leake and Wyberton.
In Old Leake, works are planned for Hobhole Bank, The Gride and Sibsey Road, while Tytton Lane East in Wyberton is also included in the programme.
The works will see existing road surfaces removed and replaced with new materials, designed to strengthen the carriageway and provide a smoother and longer-lasting surface.
Lincolnshire County Council says the investment forms part of its ongoing programme to improve the condition of the county’s road network and reduce the need for more extensive repairs in the future.
Cllr David East, executive member for highways, said: “This is another significant investment in Lincolnshire’s roads and demonstrates our commitment to maintaining and improving the highway network for residents, businesses and visitors.
“These schemes will deliver real improvements right across the county, helping to create safer, smoother journeys and reducing the need for more extensive repairs in the future.
“We know how important reliable roads are to local communities and this programme will help keep people moving across Lincolnshire.”
Andy Creasey, county programme manager for Highways, added: “Our resurfacing and reconstruction programmes are focused on improving the condition of roads that are important to local communities.
“By carrying out these works now, we’re extending the life of the highway and improving the overall quality of the network for everyone who uses it.
“We’ll continue to keep residents informed as individual schemes approach.”
Residents and motorists will receive further information before works begin in their area, with advance warning signs also installed ahead of each scheme detailing the works and any traffic management arrangements.
