Businesses across Boston are encouraged to discover how they can benefit from one of the UK’s biggest sporting events as the Lloyds Tour of Britain cycle race visits the town on September 3.
Boston Borough Council is inviting local businesses to attend a special engagement session to learn more about the opportunities available ahead of the prestigious cycling race, which will bring international attention, visitors and increased footfall to the area.
The sessions will provide information on how businesses can get involved, maximise economic benefits and play a part in what promises to be a momentous occasion for the town.
The Lloyds Tour of Britain is one of the country’s premier cycling events, attracting elite riders, spectators and extensive media coverage. Its arrival in Boston presents a unique opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services, engage with visitors and be part of an impressive spectacle.
Two engagement sessions will be held at Shodfriars Hall, Boston, on Thursday 30 July at:
- 9.30am – 11am
- 11.30am – 1pm
Business owners and representatives are encouraged to attend either session to find out more and explore ways to get involved.
Councillor Sarah Sharpe, Council Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and Tourism, said: “Hosting the start of Stage Two of the Lloyds Tour of Britain is an exciting opportunity for Boston. We want local businesses to be at the heart of this event and to benefit from the increased visitors, publicity and community engagement it will bring. These sessions will provide valuable information on how businesses can make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
