A unique charity challenge is underway in Swineshead today (Saturday), as locals take on an ambitious dart marathon in aid of prostate cancer awareness.

The event, titled “Bulls 4 Balls”, is being held at The Green Dragon and began at 12.30pm, running for a full 10 hours.

Participants are attempting to hit an incredible 440 bullseyes, averaging one every 90 seconds throughout the day, a challenge that’s as demanding as it is impressive.

The fundraiser has been organised to support prostate cancer awareness, a cause that has touched many within the local community.

Organisers are encouraging people to head down, get involved, and even have a go at hitting the bullseye themselves, with the event open to everyone.

Alongside the main challenge, there are a number of raffles taking place throughout the day, with prizes generously donated by local supporters including Trev’s Tyres in Bourne, Scott “Shaggy” Williams, and Davanti Tyres.

To add a competitive edge, a special “Bronze Bully” trophy will be awarded to the individual who hits the most bullseyes, as well as to the person who raises the highest amount in donations.

Sean Trafford, landlord of The Green Dragon, said: “We wanted to do something a bit different that brings people together while supporting a cause that has affected so many. It’s all about raising awareness, having a good time, and getting the community involved, everyone is welcome to come down and join us.”

With a mix of fun, community spirit and an important cause at its heart, organisers are hoping for a strong turnout as the challenge continues into the evening.

Anyone wishing to support the fundraiser is encouraged to pop down to The Green Dragon and show their support.
