Boston College’s new Mayflower Campus has been named Development Project of the Year (Over £5 Million) at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce’s Greater Lincolnshire Construction & Property Awards 2026, marking a major milestone for one of the town’s most ambitious regeneration projects.
The prestigious award recognises outstanding achievement in large-scale construction and development across the region, placing the Mayflower Campus among the very best projects delivered in Greater Lincolnshire over the past year.
Announcing the win, Boston College said it was “incredibly proud” to see the Mayflower project recognised on such a significant stage. A spokesperson for the college added: “We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to RG Carter and thank them for their incredible dedication and hard work to the Mayflower project; it simply would not have been possible without them.”
The Mayflower Campus has been designed as a modern, forward-looking hub for education, skills, business and community use, and has already begun to make a visible impact in the town.
Interim Chair of the Boston Town Board, Claire Foster, also welcomed the news, describing the award as richly deserved. She said: “It is fantastic news that the Boston College Mayflower building has won this prestigious award.
“The Mayflower was designed to be a modern and inspirational space bringing together state of the art facilities and opportunities for learning, business, and the community.
“It is such an impressive building and Boston Town Board is proud to have supported this development through the Towns Fund. The Mayflower is already proving to be such an asset for the town.
“This award is very well deserved and congratulations to R G Carter, Boston College and all involved in translating the shared vision into reality.”
Backed by Towns Fund investment and delivered by RG Carter, the project has been widely seen as a key part of Boston’s wider regeneration efforts, helping to bring new opportunities, footfall and confidence into the area.
The award win not only celebrates the quality of the building itself, but also highlights the collaboration between Boston College, delivery partners and local stakeholders in turning a shared vision into a flagship development for the town.
