The Centre Manager of Pescod Square Shopping Centre, Lisa Fitzgerald, has announced she will be stepping down from her role in February after more than three decades working in her hometown.

In a post shared on Facebook, Mrs Fitzgerald confirmed that she will leave her position on Friday 6th February, bringing to a close six years at the helm of Pescod Square and a career that has spanned over 30 years in Boston.

Reflecting on her time in the town, Lisa said it had been “a privilege” to work alongside colleagues, retailers, partners and stakeholders, while serving the local community with pride. Her earlier career included roles with HSBC, TSB and Lloyds Bank, before moving into centre management.

During her tenure at Pescod Square, Lisa oversaw a number of significant developments and milestones. These included the introduction of new attractions such as Glo Golf, continued support for essential community services including the Post Office, and the modernisation of the centre’s car parking with a new ANPR system.

She also played a key role in celebrating the shopping centre’s 15th and 20th anniversaries, delivering what she described as some of the most successful Christmas Late Night Events in the centre’s 22-year history. In addition, fundraising initiatives during her time raised more than £10,000 for local charities.

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built and the community we’ve strengthened,” Lisa said. “Boston will always hold a very special place in my heart.”

“Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I’m excited for the next chapter, and I will always value the memories and relationships formed at Pescod Square Shopping Centre.”

No announcement has yet been made regarding her successor.
