The festive countdown is officially on as organisers confirm that the 2025 Christmas Convoy to Pilgrim Hospital will take place on Saturday 20 December, travelling in spectacular style from Sutton Bridge to Boston.

Hundreds of brightly lit vehicles are expected to join the annual charity convoy, which last year saw at least 224 cars, vans and trucks take part. Organisers Lincolnshire Vanlife and Lincs Low-Life Car Club say they are hoping to make this year’s event even bigger.

Those wishing to complete the full route are invited to gather at Nene Transport Ltd, Sutton Bridge, Spalding PE12 9RN, between 3pm and 3:30pm, ready for a 4pm departure. For 2025, the convoy will travel straight through without a midway meet-up.

The route will leave Sutton Bridge at 4pm, pass through Long Sutton between 4pm and 4:25pm, reach Holbeach between 4:25pm and 4:45pm, then continue to Sutterton between 4:45pm and 5pm. It is due in Kirton between 5pm and 5:15pm, Wyberton between 5:15pm and 5:20pm, and the Quadrant between 5:20pm and 5:30pm. The procession will then head into the Boston United car park to regroup before leaving again at 5:45pm. It is expected to reach Boston Market Place between 5:50pm and 6pm and arrive at Boston Pilgrim Hospital between 6pm and 6:20pm. Organisers remind residents that times may vary depending on traffic and warn locals to expect delays as the giant convoy travels through the town centre.

After visiting the hospital and presenting toys to the Children’s Ward, participants will return to Boston United for a catch-up, trophy presentation and raffle results. The bar will be open, and a dessert and ice cream van will be on site offering warm treats.

Toy donations for the Children’s Ward can be dropped off in advance at the following points: Shaun Starky Stark, Wyberton Sports and Social Club, and GloGolf in Pescod Square.

Organisers are urging everyone taking part to stay safe and drive sensibly, as the much-loved festive convoy once again brings Christmas cheer to communities from Sutton Bridge to Boston.
