A 28-year-old man has tragically died following a collision near Boston on Saturday afternoon (7 December).

Emergency services were called just before 1pm to reports of a crash involving a grey BYD Seal between the junctions of Trader Bank and Staunts Lane, heading westbound towards Frithville. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

Hale Lane, at the junction with the B1183, was closed for several hours while emergency services attended and collision investigators conducted enquiries.

Lincolnshire Police are now appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who may have captured the moments before the collision on dashcam.

    All these new homes are not going to benefit Boston shopping!
    People are not going to travel all the way to Wyberton ,it is quicker to go to Skegness.
    We have been left behind this side of town.
