Lincolnshire Police have announced the death of two drivers in a three vehicle collision near Boston yesterday.

Emergency services were called to reports of a serious collision just before 5.50pm on Saturday 6 December. The collision happened on the A1121 Boardsides near to the junction with Sutterton Drove, near Boston.

An 18-year-old-woman and a 25-year-old man have died following the collision, they were in separate cars. Their loved ones have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers.

Three cars were involved in the collision. A green Vauxhall Corsa and a blue BMW 1 series which were travelling towards Boston and a black BMW 1 series, which was travelling towards Swineshead.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody at this time.

The road was closed shortly after the collision and remains closed to allow for forensic collision investigation and search teams to complete their investigations of the scene.

The Lead Investigator, Detective Sergeant Kate Johnston, is appealing for information that will assist the investigation. DS Johnston would like to hear from anyone who was travelling either towards Boston or towards Swineshead on the A1121, Boardsides, between 5.15pm and 5.50pm on Saturday 6 December. In addition, anyone who has any recorded footage, dashcam etc, is asked to get in touch.

“Two people have tragically died and our thoughts are with their family and friends; I send my sincere condolences.”
