Two Norfolk men have been charged with multiple offences following a report of an aggravated burglary at a property in Wyberton on 30 November.
Derek Brown 61, of Kirklees, Norwich and Kevin Gibbs, 45, of Sherwell Road, Hellesdon, Norwich are both charged with aggravated burglary, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place, and three counts of false imprisonment.
It is alleged that the men forced their way into the victims’ address, restrained them while making demands for items and removed items from the address. It is also alleged that an imitation firearm was used while carrying out this offence.
Both men are to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, 3 December).
The force has said they would like to identify and locate two further men who they believe may have been involved in this incident and may be able to assist their investigation. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Wyberton area between 12 noon and 2pm and may have captured dashcam or doorbell footage of four men travelling in a red Kia Sportage with the registration LG25 GSJ to get in touch.
