We’re rapidly running out of superlatives for Matt Cotton.

He continued his remarkable scoring run by helping himself to a first-half hat-trick inside 11 minutes.

After an even first half hour, Cotton pounced twice in the space of two minutes to settle any nerves the Poachers might have had after their uncertain form of late.

Before the interval, he struck again to give the hosts a comfortable 3-0 lead.

After 61 minutes, Cotton dinked Harrowby keeper Nykah Liburd-Hines to notch his fourth of the night – and 24th of the season.

Zak Munton came on to grab two goals of his own, first finding the net with a rocket of a free-kick after 78 minutes and then slotting past Liburd-Hines five minutes later after being cleverly set up by Harvey Graves.

Harrowby will be glad to see the back of Boston Town for this season after losing by a combined scoreline of 11-0 over two games home and way in the space of six weeks.

The win puts the Poachers back on top of the United Counties League Premier North table, three points ahead of Sherwood Colliery – who visit the Mortgages For You Stadium on Saturday (15 November). Kick-off is 3pm.
