Emergency services have been called to the picnic area in Stickney this morning (Monday, 6 October) after reports that a body had been found.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed they were alerted following a call from someone concerned for the welfare of an individual. Officers attended the scene where, sadly, a body was discovered.
A police spokesperson said: “Emergency services have been called to the picnic area in Stickney after a report of a body was sadly found at the location. A caller to our control room had earlier called reporting they were concerned for the welfare of someone. We’re asking people to avoid the area for the time being.”
An investigation is now underway, and the area has been cordoned off while officers remain at the scene.
