Boston Borough Council is delighted to announce the return of the annual Boston Christmas Festival, taking place from Friday 28 November to Sunday 30 November 2025 in Boston town centre.
The much-loved three-day event will once again bring festive cheer, seasonal shopping and community celebration to the heart of the town.
A major highlight for this year will be the introduction of a new ice sculpture experience aiming to captivate visitors with its artistry and spectacle.
On Saturday (29 November) only, the town will welcome Glacial Art Ice Sculptors, one of the UK’s leading and award-winning ice sculpting company, renowned for their work on blockbuster productions such as Game of Thrones and industry giants like Nescafe and Rolex.
Five magnificent ice sculptures, dubbed the “The Frozen Five” will be installed in the town centre, each intricately carved to reflect the magic of the season. From mythical winter creatures to festive icons, these frozen masterpieces will offer a unique visual experience for all ages.
Adding to the excitement, Glacial Art will also perform a live ice carving demonstration between 12pm and 3pm on Saturday. Spectators will be able to watch as a block of ice is transformed into a detailed sculpture before their eyes.
This year’s festival will also feature a new, larger open-air ice-skating rink, giving families and friends the chance to enjoy a classic festive activity in the very heart of Boston.
Alongside the ice rink, visitors can look forward to a selection of fairground rides, including a traditional cakewalk, ferris wheel and a range of children’s rides, bringing even more fun and entertainment to the weekend.
Additionally, the Christmas Festival will feature a vibrant market each day, offering a wide range of seasonal products, handmade gifts, festive food and drink, and unique items from local traders.
Traditional favourites such as mulled wine, Bratwurst sausages, hog roast, cakes and pastries will be available, alongside artisan stalls selling gingerbread, jewellery, wooden crafts and a wide variety of Christmas decorations.
Entertainment will be at the heart of the festival, with a town-centre main stage featuring live music from local bands and wholesome community performances.
The Illuminate Parade, organised by Transported Arts, will return again this year with the theme labelled “Illustrated Boston”, featuring a creative mix of activities and trails throughout the town centre.
Inside ‘The Stump’, visitors can enjoy a full programme of performances and activities including appearances by Singing For Fun, The Home Nursery, Tower Road School, Thistles, Adult Learning Boston College, Boston Junior Choir, Butterwick School, Coastal Community Choir, and Boston Choral Society.
There will also be arts and crafts, face painting, fun games, a Christmas trail, a photo selfie board, two festive stalls and the popular Christmas Tree Festival. Meanwhile, the Café will be open throughout the event, offering refreshments in a warm and a welcoming setting as always.
The Boston Santa Fun Run will take place on Sunday 30 November at 9:30am. Entry is now open and costs £8.50 per person. Participants can book online by visiting https://tridentsportsevents.eventrac.co.uk/e/boston-santa-run-10989.
Local traders and festive vendors are invited to apply for a stall at this year’s market. Applications are open to Christmas crafters, food producers and speciality retailers.
Priority will be given to seasonal traders to ensure a diverse and high-quality market experience. Interested parties should email BostonChristmas@boston.gov.uk to request an application form. The deadline for submissions is 11:59pm on Tuesday 30 September 2025.
