Calm Steps, a youth support group dedicated to helping children and young people manage challenging behaviours and low-level mental health needs, has announced an exciting new partnership with AD Sports Coaching.
The collaboration will see Calm Steps extend its support to families and children connected to AD Sports’ programmes, which include school and community coaching, as well as popular half-term and summer sports camps. Led by Ash Davis, AD Sports Coaching also supports youth teams at Kirton Town FC and organises regular charity matches to raise funds for children’s kit and equipment.
Through this partnership, Calm Steps practitioners Ash and Carla will be on hand at Kirton Town FC home games at Graves Park, offering families a free 45-minute consultation and discounts on intervention packages. Ash is a registered Senior Social Worker with extensive experience in Youth Justice, adolescent support and neurodiverse young people, while Carla brings her lived experience and developing background in Psychology, providing a unique and relatable approach to family support.
AD Sports Coaching said: “We are absolutely delighted to be approached by Calm Steps to help support the children and parents within our squads and extended community. This partnership means families know there is always a safe space to seek help and guidance, fully confidential at all times.”
This is the second local collaboration announced by Calm Steps in recent months, following their partnership with Lindsay Betts Photography, which focused on helping young people build confidence and self-esteem through creative expression.
Families interested in learning more are encouraged to speak directly with Ash or Carla during home games at Graves Park, or contact Calm Steps in confidence.
