A spectacular Christmas convoy is set to return to Lincolnshire this December, spreading festive spirit and delivering gifts to children spending the holidays in hospital.

Lincolnshire Vanlife and Lincs Low-Life Car Club are once again teaming up to organise the charity convoy, which will travel from Sutton Bridge to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital on Saturday 20th December 2025.

The event will see hundreds of decorated vehicles light up the roads on their way to deliver presents to the children’s ward – ensuring that young patients who may not be home for Christmas still experience some festive magic.

Organisers are also hoping to put on a dazzling light show in the car park at Boston United’s Jakemans Community Stadium, giving families and supporters the chance to enjoy the spectacle in a safe and festive setting.

Last year’s convoy attracted more than 224 vehicles, and this year the team are aiming to go even bigger.

The organisers are appealing for donations of small toys, sweets, and selection boxes which will be given to children at the hospital.

To make donating easier, Glo Golf and Pescod Square Shopping Centre have kindly agreed to act as central drop-off and storage points in Boston town centre.
Donations can also be dropped off at Wyberton Sports & Social Club, Causeway, Wyberton (PE21 7BS).

Additional drop-off locations are being sought in Boston, Kirton, Wyberton, Holbeach, and Long Sutton, with organisers offering to collect donations locally where possible.

The convoy team is also on the lookout for:

  • A Santa sleigh that could be mounted on a trailer and decorated with lights.
  • Volunteers to act as “blockers” to help safely guide the convoy along the route.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “Last year’s convoy was absolutely incredible, we had over 224 vehicles of all shapes and sizes, covered in lights and decorations, all coming together for one reason: to bring a smile to the children and families at Pilgrim Hospital. Walking into the children’s ward with presents and seeing their faces light up is something none of us will ever forget.

We know that being in hospital at Christmas is tough, especially for little ones who would much rather be at home, so if we can bring even a little bit of magic to them, then it’s all worthwhile. This isn’t just about the convoy; it’s about the community pulling together to make a difference.

We’d love as many people as possible to get involved this year — whether that’s joining the convoy with a decorated vehicle, donating a small gift, or even just helping us spread the word. Every selection box, toy, or sweet treat really does help make Christmas brighter for a child who might otherwise miss out.

This year, we’re also really excited to finish the event with a huge light show at Boston United’s stadium car park, so the whole community can share in the festive atmosphere. With the community’s support, we believe we can make this year’s convoy the biggest and best yet.”

Full timings and the confirmed route will be announced closer to the event.

Anyone wishing to donate, volunteer, or get involved is encouraged to contact the organisers directly via social media.
