The much-anticipated reopening of The Castle Inn at Haltoft End was met with celebration and community spirit this past weekend, as the beloved village pub officially welcomed back customers under new management.
On Friday evening, The Worshipful Mayor of Boston, Councillor Barrie Pierpoint, cut the ribbon at the grand reopening ceremony, marking a new chapter for the historic venue. Locals gathered to witness the return of this cherished establishment, now operated by SJP Catering.
Cllr Barrie Pierpoint, The Worshipful the Mayor of Boston, said: “It was a great pleasure and honour to officially open The Castle Inn last Friday evening.
“Samantha will make this venture a great success and has got a good team around her to ensure customers have a great time and keep coming back. The mouth-watering menu is varied and there is something for everyone. I was so impressed I booked a table of four for a birthday event on the Sunday.”
The celebrations continued on Saturday with a visit from the Member of Parliament for Boston and Skegness, Richard Tice, who praised the reopening as a sign of regeneration and rural pride.
Speaking of the opening, Mr. Tice said: “Amidst the ongoing worry about public houses closing, it’s amazing to see Samantha take the helm of this stunning and historic venue and give it a new lease of life. The reopening of The Castle Inn is not just great news for Haltoft End – it’s a brilliant example of local enterprise breathing new life into our communities. This venue has always been a hub for locals, and I’m delighted to see it back, better than ever.”
Under the stewardship of Samantha from SJP Catering, the pub promises a warm welcome, quality food, and a refreshed approach to village hospitality.
“We’re thrilled to bring The Castle Inn back to life,” said Samantha. “It’s been incredible to see the support from the community already, and to have both the Mayor and MP here to celebrate with us has been the icing on the cake. Our team is committed to delivering hearty, homemade food and friendly service in a space everyone can enjoy.”
Cllr Barrie Pierpoint added: “It is a lovely venue, superb ambience and I wish Samantha and her team the very best in their new business venture.”
The Castle Inn will now be open Wednesday to Sunday, with breakfasts available from 9am on Fridays and Saturdays. The pub will also serve lunch and evening meals Wednesday through Saturday, and a traditional Sunday roast every Sunday, expected to quickly become a firm favourite with regulars.
With its combination of modern hospitality and traditional charm, The Castle Inn’s successful reopening signals a bright future ahead for Haltoft End’s cherished local.
