Boston is set to host its first-ever Pride celebration tomorrow, Saturday 26 July, at Central Park from 11am to 8pm.

The event is being delivered at a total cost of £36,000. £25,000 of that funding has come from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), with the remaining £11,000 contributed by the Boston Town Area Committee.

Throughout the day, the Pride Main Stage will be the heart of the celebration, with live performances, music, dance, and local talent lighting up Central Park.

From 11am to 3pm, DJ FRQNC will open the show, followed by performances from Ken Lambert & Matti, Biz Dance Party, Sue de Creme, Rock Choir, Jenna G, Ken Lambert, Boston Grammar & Community Choir, and Blackfriars Theatre.

The afternoon continues from 3pm to 7pm with performances from Connor Sargeant, Sister Act – BMTS, Danny Stephenson, The Duo, Joanna Bang, Pete Martine, Angie Fisher, Sam Beeson, The Biz, and Ken Lambert returning to the stage.

At 7.15pm, the day will culminate in a headline performance by Infinity by Carolyn Claire.

Alongside the stage programme, the park will feature a wide array of free activities for all ages. These include glitter face art from 11am to 5pm, Pride Circus Workshops throughout the day, interactive theatre and craft workshops led by Blackfriars Theatre from 12pm to 5pm, a dedicated Craft Area running from 12pm to 5.30pm, and magical Bubble Workshops between 12pm and 6pm.

Visitors can also unwind at Pride Beach, explore community and support stalls, and stop by the Pride Nest – a quiet, welcoming space designed for first-time Pride attendees or anyone in need of a break.

A diverse Food Court will serve up a selection of local and global cuisine, with options to cater for all dietary needs.

Accessibility remains a top priority, with wheelchair-friendly facilities, gender-neutral and accessible toilets, quiet zones, changing areas, and staff available throughout the site. Some stage performances will include BSL interpretation.

Entry is free, and no tickets are required. There is no parking available on site, so attendees are encouraged to use public car parks. Wayfinder staff will assist from Boston Market Place to Central Park.

Security checks will be in place. The event is alcohol-free and family-friendly, with respectful dress encouraged. Medical support and lost child services will be available on site.

Boston Pride 2025 marks a major milestone for the town – its first formal celebration of LGBTQ+ visibility, love, and unity.

A Boston Pride spokesperson said: “It’s almost unbelievable that after months of dedication, planning, and hard work, Boston Pride is finally ready to burst into life!

“This isn’t only a celebration of visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community in the area, it’s a day for everyone to feel welcome, celebrating diversity, inclusivity, love and resilience.

“Whether you’re singing along, dancing, cheering, or simply showing up as your authentic self, Boston Pride is for you. This is a call to be proud, to be visible, and to stand together in unity.

“So come join us in a family friendly, inclusive celebration of life, love, and the unstoppable spirit of our community!”
