A heartfelt GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support much-loved Boston man Al Grenda, who remains in critical condition after being seriously assaulted outside JD Wetherspoon on High Street in the early hours of Thursday, July 3rd.

Al, aged 30, is a well-known and popular figure across Boston’s nightlife scene, having worked at venues including Pirana Nightclub, The Folly, and Money&I. Known for his warm personality and friendly nature, news of the horrific attack has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting an outpouring of support online.

The fundraiser, set up by close friend Ausra, aims to help cover recovery costs, and provide financial support for Al and his family during this distressing time.

In the GoFundMe description, Ausra writes:

“Support Alen. Seriously injured in Boston attack. A horrific attack took place outside a JD Wetherspoon store on High Street in Boston in the early hours of July 3rd. A 30-year-old man suffered serious head injuries and is currently in a critical condition in hospital.”

Lincolnshire Police confirmed a 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. They are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident, which is being treated as isolated. The investigation remains ongoing.

The GoFundMe appeal calls on the local community to come together in support of Al during this incredibly difficult time.

“Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference,” Ausra added. “Thank you for your kindness and support.”
