Day two of disruption in Boston continues following a burst water main that has impacted local services, schools, and traffic in the town centre.

Greyfriars Surgery has confirmed electricity has now been restored, but water has not yet returned to the building. As a result, the surgery remains closed to patients. Some appointments are being temporarily moved to The Parkside Surgery to ensure patients continue receiving care. Patients are advised to call 01205 311133 for assistance. The surgery thanked the community for their ongoing patience and support during the disruption.

Boston Grammar School has also issued an update, confirming that water shortages are expected to continue until approximately 1pm. Despite this, the school remains open, with fresh running water and toilet facilities still available to students. Parents are encouraged to send their children in with plenty of water, suncream and hats due to the warm weather. Year 12 students should attend only if they have a scheduled exam in the morning, these include Design Technology, History, Computer Science, and German. There are no exams scheduled for the afternoon.

Brylaine Travel has confirmed that all Boston services will continue to pick up and drop off at the bus station, as access to the Boots stop remains unavailable due to the ongoing disruption. The company thanked passengers for their continued patience and understanding.

Anglian Water remains on site, with South Street still closed to all traffic while repair work continues. Further updates are expected later today.
