Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and Lincolnshire Police were called to a vehicle fire in the early hours of this morning on a residential street in Boston.

At 01:04am, crews from Boston Fire Station responded to reports of a car ablaze on Woodville Road. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control using one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to ensure the area was safe and the fire was fully extinguished.

Residents were awoken by the sound of emergency vehicles as thick smoke and flames engulfed the vehicle. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, and investigations are ongoing.

Lincolnshire Police also attended the scene to assist with safety and crowd control while fire crews dealt with the incident. Officers are now working with fire investigators to determine whether the blaze was started deliberately or accidentally.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
