A male has tragically died in a collision with a HGV yesterday on a Boston A road.
As reported yesterday, a road closure had been put in place following collision on the A16 between Sutterton and Kirton roundabouts, where a HGV could be seen jackknifed across the carriageway.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police confirmed a male in his 50’s, who had been driving a van has sadly lost his life.
The spokesperson said: “We can now confirm that a man, aged in his 50s from Holbeach, has sadly died following this collision. The collision involved a lorry and a white Citroen Berlingo. We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, and has not yet spoken to officers, to get in touch with our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU). You can call via 101 or email SCIUinvestigators@lincs.police.uk quoting incident 190 of 20 April. The A16 was reopened shortly before midnight.”
